Verbs: the present tense ὁ ἐνεστὼς χρόνος

λύω, λύεις, λύει: six endings you will meet on thousands of verbs. · about 20 minutes

Most Greek verbs end in -ω in the dictionary: λύω "I loosen, I free", ἔχω "I have", λέγω "I say". Take off the -ω and add these endings to say who is acting.

λύω (loosen, free): active indicative

λύω is the classic model verb. Its endings are what matter: they appear on thousands of verbs.
